Kaitlin Bremer Hi! I’m Kaitlin Bremer, a member of GLASS-ED for 2 years now. I participated in one of the Mystic Marsh Dressage shows 3 years ago, and have been hooked ever since! It has taken me awhile to find dressage, but it seems to suit my horse the best. I started riding nine years ago out at Lou-Don Farms under the training of Mike and Ena Hansen. My parents never thought I would stick with horseback riding. They figured I would quit after a set of 10 lessons;I however knew this would not be the case. In a matter of a year I had learned how to walk, trot, canter, and jump. Not long after that I started showing a stocky little mustang named Dallas. He was my favorite schooling horse, and led me to many victories my first summer of showing.
After the sudden death of Mike Hansen, I started training with his niece, Darcy Knapper. At the time I began training with her, I had just started riding a horse named Pres (Lost My Sock). He was a thoroughbred straight off the track. He was extremely thin, and was anything but handsome, but I loved the way he rode. Pres was definitely a project horse; he didn’t know how to jump, and his knowledge of the correct canter lead was questionable. After a few months of leasing Pres, my parents decided to buy him for me as a Christmas present. I was thrilled, and continued to learn from Darcy for 2 years, showing on the LMHJA and MHJA show circuits. During this time, we moved Pres to Hillcrest Equestrian Center, where they were kind enough to let my trainer come in to give lessons. Then it came time for Darcy to move onto managing a farm in New York.

Before leaving for New York, Darcy introduced me to my new trainer, Christie Bigelow. Christie continued to help me transform Pres into the horse he is today. She started off training me for the hunter circuit, but after a few disappointing shows, (in which Pres would randomly decide what he wanted to jump) Christie suggested dressage. I will admit that I was not too excited at first, as I really loved riding hunt, but I decided to give it a try. My first show was at Mystic Marsh, where we pulled in firsts and seconds. It was obvious that this was the best choice for my horse, so the next year I became a member of GLASS-ED. I now have a lot of fun showing Pres. Everyone on the GLASS-ED circuit is so friendly, and it makes the showing experience a lot less tense. I really appreciate all of the positive comments and support given to me over the past couple of years! Thank you everyone!
